Hi Again Friends and Blog Readers of Bill Cady,

Having heard from only two of you on Bill’s emailing list that  plan on attending our get-together to remember Bill, we are moving the gathering to our house on the 20th. Not much sense in spending $500 on the Oceana clubhouse.

We have a about 10 people that have RSVP’d and Sharon and I will be ready to accommodate up to 20 on the 20th of April.  Same time, just a different place … our place.

New Address Info:

What: Bill Cady Memorial Celebration
When:  April 20th.  10:30am – 1:30pm.
Where: Alex and Sharon Irving House
5245 Angelina Rd. Oceanside, CA 92056
760-414-1997

A Special Thank You

Special thanks to Cary Anderson for his donation to Bill’s gathering and his kind words.  We appreciate Cary.  Drinks are on you. :-)

Important Reminder:

If you wish to drop me an email my email address is alex@beauty-pr.com.

Revised Memorial Celebration Information

March 1, 2013

Dear Friends of Bill Cady, Our apologies for the delay in getting back to you about Bill’s memorial celebration gathering.   Lots of reasons for that … but life has conspired. After researching a number of options we believe best choice is the Oceana ‘clubhouse’ in Bill’s condo community where he lived both before and after [...]

The “hello” screw-up

November 14, 2012

Sometimes a screw-up is a good idea. Here’s an example. My body clock is on Hong Kong time.  When it’s 6:45 p.m. today in San Diego, it’s 11:45 a.m. tomorrow in Hong Kong. Works for me, getting up on Hong Kong time. “Mornings”, as most people see ‘em, are an outright waste of time in [...]

One of the worst things I’ve ever faced

November 13, 2012

There’ve been a few succubi in my life, it seems. A succubus is one of the most evil burdens a man can ever find. I always thought I was chasing them when, in reality, they were all out to capture and control me. Subtly. Undetectably. As it developed, something I finally caught on to in [...]

What’s it mean to be “near death”?

November 12, 2012

Seems I’ve done that more than a few times lately … with “lately” emphasizing occasions over the last few months and, more pointedly, the last weeks. Specifically the last ten days or so. Imagine needing 2-3 minutes to turn over in bed. Imagine being unable to sit up in bed without difficulty … or, at [...]

It seems my friends have things to say #2

November 11, 2012

For those interested, this is the steroid I was put on by Bill “The Boy Wonder Doc” Mitchell. The link tells all about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dexamethasone Now I’ll give you still more of the comments I posted yesterday. It seems I have more than a few people who care about Bill Cady. Oh, and there’s a [...]

It seems my friends have things to say #1

November 10, 2012

From an uncommon perspective, it seems some people DO take notice when a man’s about to die … or everyone thinks so, anyway. Today, November 10th, 2012, has been a tremendous uptick for me. Maybe it’s the steroids my oncologist has me on now. Maybe it’s all the prayers YOU’RE saying for me. Maybe it’s [...]

I thought I was making a dying wish

October 31, 2012

This “event” happened Friday, October 26th. Because of a weakness I can’t even describe, I was sure I was dying. I died in 1965 from trauma, but never from illness. Still, I was pretty sure I was checking out. I’m still so weak I have no idea if I’ll pull through. Now, as of today, [...]

I’ll be seeing my oncologist, Bill Mitchell, Thursday, November 1st

October 30, 2012

If he has some good news for me, I’ll share it with you. If not, based on the tremendous weakness I’ve felt the last three days, I don’t have much time left. Should that be the case, thank you for your involvement in my life. Let me know if I can do anything for you [...]
